Frequently Asked Questions

Partial highlights typically cover the top half of your head - the crown, top layers, and face-framing pieces around your hairline. The underneath and nape area remain your natural color. This creates dimension that's visible when your hair moves while being more subtle than full highlights.

Absolutely! Many clients start with partial highlights and later decide they want more coverage. We can easily add more highlights to the lower sections in a future appointment. It's a great way to gradually build up to a fuller look.

Not exactly. Babylights are very fine, delicate highlights throughout the hair that mimic the natural highlighting seen in children's hair. Partial highlights refer to the placement area (top half only), while babylights describe the technique (very fine sections). You can have partial babylights - fine highlights just on top!
